I have come a long way so far and so close to completing my goal! Counting down to my 30th birthday where I want to start the next decade happy and healthy! Please feel free to add comments! They can be words of encouragement, helpful tips or a little banter like "hey, that snickers bar isn't going to help you to your goal"!! This blog is really for me but support is always welcome and if I can inspire someone else to get off the couch and get healthy then that is great! I know first hand how fast the pounds can creep up on you and how hard it is to first decide to make a change, find a routine that works, commit to it and accomplish it! Once I complete the goal it doesn't end there. It's time to get healthy and stay healthy!

June 3rd In/out

Well... I had no idea a grilled cheese sandwich was so bad for you. I ate too many fat grams today, as well as too much sodium! I can see how this food log will help me! Glad I was able to burn as many calories as I ate, not quite the goal though. That's pretty much just going to help me  maintain current weight! Also didn't drink enough water! Part of the reason was that I ran out. I am stocked now for tomorrow, so I should have no problem!

Today I also went to the grocery store and bought some fruit! Fruit is something I would really like to add to my diet. Sometimes it's tough though since fruits and veggies are so expensive here.

My run was good today. I kept it slow and short. Just a little discomfort in my ankle. Tomorrow is my day off for running but I am going to try and get out just to do a couple miles to see how I am doing. I have 2 shoots on Saturday so I will probably take Saturday off from running. Sunday I am supposed to do 14 miles. But I think it would be best to just do what I can and not push it. It's better to miss a couple miles on one day then to be out for another week or longer.

Not at all discouraged! Happy to see what kind of effect food has!! Looking forward to doing better tomorrow! I really need to get those fat grams down!
